Common questions
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account. You’ll be asked to type your handle to confirm. Once you do, your profile, photo, push token, and game-roster entries are deleted within 30 days. Encrypted backups roll off after 7 days.
Can’t get into the app? Email us with the subject “Delete my account” and we’ll handle it for you.
I forgot my password.
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we’ll email you a reset link. If the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and confirm you’re using the same email you signed up with.
I’m not getting push notifications.
Three things to check, in order:
- OS permission — in your phone’s Settings app, find MatchPickle and confirm Notifications are allowed.
- In-app preferences — open MatchPickle → Settings → Notifications and make sure the relevant categories (game reminders, chat, roster changes) are turned on.
- Do Not Disturb / Focus modes — on iOS, Focus modes can silently suppress notifications even when permissions are correct.
Still nothing? Email us with your handle and we’ll look up your push token.
A court is missing, wrong, or closed.
Open the court’s detail page and tap Report an issue. Tell us what’s wrong (wrong location, permanently closed, new court not on the map) and we’ll update it.
How do I report a player or a message?
Every profile, game post, and chat message has a Report option. Reports go to our trust & safety queue and are reviewed by a human within 24 hours. You can also block any user directly — blocking removes them from your discovery surfaces and prevents them from seeing your games.

I’m a host — can someone steal my game?
No. Only the host can edit, cancel, or close a game. Joiners can leave a game they’ve joined but cannot modify it.
What skill levels does MatchPickle use?
We use the standard 2.0–5.0+ self-rated tiers. When you host a game you set a skill range; players outside that range can still see the game but it’s clearly marked as out-of-range so they know what they’re walking into.
Is MatchPickle free?
Yes. Posting games, joining games, and finding courts are free and will stay free.
How do I request my data?
Email privacy@matchpickle.app and we’ll send a copy of the personal data on your account within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how to control it.
